There are currently are no areas of tropical organization or development anticipated in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, or Gulf of Mexico from today through Friday. The tropical cyclone season ends on Friday, November 30. Tropical Weather Summaries will then be issued only as needed.

2007 Storm Names
Tropical Cyclones are given easily remembered names because they are quicker and less subject to error than latitude-longitude identification methods. They also reduce confusion when two or more tropical storms occur at the same time.
