What are the minimum browser versions recommended for this service?
Windows:
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0
- Firefox 1.5
- Netscape 8.0
- AOL 9.0
Macintosh:
- Safari 2.0
- Firefox 1.5
- Netscape 7.2
Why doesn't it remember my registration information?
Your bowser must have cookies enabled.
To update this setting in Internet Explorer:
- Go to "Tools," then "Internet Options."
- Select the "Privacy" tab.
- Click the [Advanced] button.
- Check "Overide automatic cookie handling."
- Check to accept "First-party" and "Third Party" cookies.
- Check "Always allow session cookies."
- Click [OK].
Why is speed data not available for more roads?
As speed data becomes available for this market, we will add to the existing
information.
How current is the speed data I am seeing?
Very close to real time. The data powering the application is updated every few
minutes.
How often do you update incident reports?
Incident reports are updated every five minutes.
Can I send traffic alerts to my cell phone using SMS?
Not currently. However, you can send alerts to any wireless device which
receives email.
My commuter routes aren't listed on the alerts page. Will you be adding more?
Watch for new routes. We’ll be adding more!
When I click on a camera or incident, the popup window does not come up. I’m using IE.
Your Adobe Flash player needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. To do so,
- Download an uninstaller program from Adobe Flash.
- Run the uninstaller program. Make sure IE is closed when you run the uninstaller program. You do not need to restart your machine.
- Open Internet Explorer, visit the traffic site again. IE will prompt you to install the flash player automatically.
- Allow the install to take place.
How can I tell which direction the traffic cameras are pointed?
Most of the state traffic cameras have letters in the bottom, right corner that
indicate the direction of the camera view. There are some older cameras,
however, that do not have this feature.
